Wellbeing Help
Support for Those Affected by Cyclone Gabrielle and Extreme Weather Events.
In the wake of Cyclone Gabrielle and other severe weather events, many of us may be facing unexpected challenges and emotional turmoil. The Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand understands the profound impact such events can have on our mental health and wellbeing. They are here to offer support, understanding, and practical resources to help you and your whānau navigate through these trying times.
If you could use some extra support right now, or you know someone who you think is struggling, it’s okay – there is help available. Nobody should go through a tough time alone.
If you’re not sure where to start, talk to your GP. They’re trained to assess and provide support and know what other services are available in your area.
New face-to-face mental health services are being developed across the country as part of the Access and Choice programme. Visit wellbeingsupport.health.nz to find a service near you.
